Korean Air Expands Asian Network with Increased Flights to China and Japan

Korean Air has announced a significant expansion of its Asian network to accommodate rising travel demand. The airline will resume and add services to several destinations in China and increase frequencies on select routes to Japan.

China and Northeast Asia: Network Restoration and Increased Frequencies

Resuming Services

  • Busan-Shanghai Pudong: Daily flights starting July 1.
  • Jeju-Beijing: Daily flights starting July 1.
  • Seoul Incheon-Hefei: Five weekly flights starting August 19.
  • Busan-Beijing: Six weekly flights starting September 16.
  • Seoul Incheon-Kunming: Four weekly flights starting October 14.

Increased Frequencies

  • Seoul Incheon-Yanji: Increasing from four weekly flights to daily flights starting June 1.
  • Seoul Incheon-Dalian: Increasing to 11 weekly flights from July 1 to September 15.
  • Seoul Incheon-Tianjin: Increasing to two daily flights from August 5 to October 20.
  • Seoul Incheon-Ulaanbaatar: Increasing to eight weekly flights from June 1 to September 30.

Japan: Resumed and Expanded Operations

To meet the growing travel demand to Japan, Korean Air will also increase its flight frequencies to various Japanese destinations.

Resuming and Increasing Services

  • Jeju-Tokyo Narita: Resuming with three weekly flights from July 19 to October 25.
  • Seoul Incheon-Okayama: Increasing from three to five weekly flights starting August 3.
  • Seoul Incheon-Kagoshima: Increasing from three to five weekly flights starting September 2.
