Life at Sea Cruises Suspended Popular Itinerary
The awaited voyage began taking bookings earlier this year with rooms beginning at $29,999.
But the crew of a three-year cruise that was scheduled to visit 135 nations across seven continents has decided to cancel the trip.
According to CNN, the vacation was cancelled when Life at Sea Cruises revealed it did not have an available ship. The cruise company had begun taking bookings earlier this year with suites beginning at $29,999 per year. The trip's original departure port was Istanbul on November 1st, however it was moved to Amsterdam on November 11th, and then back to Istanbul again on November 30th.
Nevertheless, the news that the multi-year voyage would not be taking place was announced to passengers on November 17th. Apparently, the corporation instead offered to reimburse customers up to hundreds of thousands of dollars for the suspended trip.
Originally, the business was going to acquire a decommissioned AIDA cruise ship, but it turned out that Celestyal Cruises ended up buying the vessel. In a subsequent statement, Vedat Ugurlu, owner of Miray Cruises—the parent business of Life at Sea—assured guests that the ship was out of their price range and expressed his apologies for the travel disruption.
According to initial announcements, the three-year trip was scheduled to cover 130,000 miles and visit 375 destinations of call. The original plan intended for the vacation to take place on a ship with large staterooms, many restaurants and bars, a fitness facility, a pool, and areas for working, such as a business centre.
On the other hand, there are a plethora of other circuit journeys that passengers can enrol in, such as Silversea's 37-country expedition in 2026 or Azamara's 155-day voyage that will visit all seven new global wonders.
