Munich Airport CEO Becomes Chair of ACI World
Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport, has assumed the role of Chair of Airports Council International (ACI) World at the start of 2026. Lammers was elected to the position during ACI World’s general meeting and will serve a two-year term.
ACI World, headquartered in Montreal, represents nearly 2,200 airports across approximately 170 countries. The association serves as a major voice for the global airport sector in political, economic and industry forums, supported by regional bodies operating across five continents.
As Chair, Lammers will help guide the strategic direction of the organization and contribute to international discussions on key priorities for the airport industry. Speaking after taking office, he emphasized the importance of global collaboration, noting that many of aviation’s challenges — including safety, sustainability, innovation and passenger experience — require coordinated responses across borders.
Lammers added that advancing digitalisation and improving customer experience will be central topics for ACI World in the coming years, alongside the wider goal of building a safe, innovative and sustainable airport ecosystem.
