
New Long-Haul Routes & Summer Flight Schedule Expansion at BER

As the daylight-saving time begins on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the summer flight schedule at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) will also take effect, bringing new destinations and expanded services for travelers. This summer, over 70 airlines will operate flights to 150 destinations across 50 countries, with Greece, Spain, France, and Turkey topping the list of popular summer vacation spots. Majorca remains the most sought-after holiday destination for travelers departing from the capital region.
Long-Haul Flights from BER
New Route to Canada
Starting June 20, Air Transat will offer a new long-haul flight from BER to Toronto, Canada. This service will operate twice a week (Mondays and Fridays) and connect passengers to other Canadian cities such as Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary, as well as U.S. destinations through codeshare agreements with Porter Airlines.
Increased Services to the U.S.
In addition to the existing daily service to New York by United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Norse Atlantic Airways will resume flights to New York’s JFK airport. Delta will begin its daily service on April 16, while Norse Atlantic will operate four weekly flights starting May 23. Florida's Miami remains well-connected, with three weekly direct flights from BER.
Expanding Connections to Asia and the Gulf States
Qatar Airways and Condor to the Gulf
Qatar Airways will increase its flights to Doha, adding three more weekly services starting July 10, making it 21 flights a week. This expansion is ideal for travelers heading to Asia, Africa, and Australia. Meanwhile, Condor will maintain its daily service to Dubai throughout the summer, providing a vital link to the Gulf region.
Other Gulf and Asian Routes
flynas will continue its three-times-weekly service to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia until June 25. Hainan Airlines will also operate five weekly flights to Beijing, connecting passengers to various destinations across China.
Summer Flight Schedule at BER
Condor's Expanding Presence
Condor is significantly increasing its offerings at BER, with daily flights to Frankfurt and three new Greek island destinations: Kos, Rhodes, and Crete. The airline will also double its capacity compared to the winter schedule, offering up to 28 weekly departures from BER.
Eurowings’ New Routes
Eurowings is introducing new direct flights to several destinations, including Bilbao (Spain), Corfu (Greece), and Jerez de la Frontera (Spain). The airline is also increasing its flight frequency to popular locations like Malaga, Crete, and Palma de Mallorca.
easyJet and Aegean Airlines Expansion
easyJet will continue its popular service to Liverpool and enhance its offerings to Greek islands, while Aegean Airlines is increasing flights to Athens, serving the Greek capital twice daily from April 9.
More Summer Travel Options
Increased Frequencies to Popular Cities
Pegasus Airlines will increase its daily flights to Istanbul, offering more flexible options throughout the summer. SunExpress will also expand its Turkish routes, including up to 32 weekly departures to Antalya and additional flights to Ankara, Gaziantep, and Dalaman.
Vueling Airlines to Barcelona
Vueling is adding two to three extra flights each week to Barcelona, further boosting connectivity to the Spanish city.
