Norwegian Adds Low-Cost Service To Boston
Airline News
Norwegian today celebrated the one-year anniversary of its low-cost flights between the UK and the United States by introducing a new service to Boston and announcing that this summer will probably be a record breaking one for the airline.

Last summer, Norwegian Air Shuttle became the first carrier to sell low cost flights from the UK to Los Angeles, New York and Fort Lauderdale.
Since summer 2014, more than 200,000 passengers have used Norwegian's services, with the carrier frequently reaching load factors of over 90 per cent.
To respond to the increasing demand, Norwegian will start offering a daily service connecting London Gatwick to New York beginning October and also new routes to Puerto Rico beginning November and Boston from May next year.
The new route to Boston will be Gatwick's only direct service to the American city and will go on sale later in the year.
Norwegian – which is now the third largest operator at Gatwick – offers more than 500 flights per week to and from UK airports during the peak summer, with flights that connect the British airports at London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh to 34 worldwide destinations.
"This is an exciting time for Norwegian as we celebrate our successful year of low-cost, long-haul flights and get ready for our busiest ever summer in the UK," said Bjorn Kjos, chief executive of Norwegian.
"More than 200,000 passengers have chosen to fly across the Atlantic with us, and with additional Dreamliners set to be deployed at Gatwick next year we can add further exciting destinations to Norwegian's network – such as Boston.
"Our sustained growth in the UK shows we strive for quality, affordable travel.
"Our affordable fares, free inflight Wi-Fi on European flights and our brand new fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners on transatlantic routes give us an advantage over competitors.
"Norwegian is rapidly becoming the main choice for UK travellers as we look ahead to the future and welcoming a record breaking one million customers aboard Europe's youngest fleet this summer."
