Pegasus Airlines Launches Daily Gatwick to Istanbul Flights

Airlines & Airports

Pegasus Airlines has launched daily flights between London Gatwick and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, with the inaugural service departing on June 16 from the airport's South Terminal.

The route marks the airline's return to Gatwick and gives passengers access to Istanbul's commercial hub, along with onward connections to 160 destinations across 56 countries through Pegasus' wider network. Istanbul, which straddles Europe and Asia, draws millions of visitors annually to landmarks including the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

"Pegasus' arrival highlights the continued strong demand from carriers to operate from London Gatwick as we expand our network and enhance connectivity across Europe and beyond," said Jonny Macneal, Head of Aviation Development at London Gatwick.

Pegasus becomes the sixth new airline to launch services from Gatwick this year, following a wave of carrier additions that has also included AirAsia X and Air Arabia. The airport's network now offers passengers a choice of 230 destinations this summer.
