Private Jet Operator In Dubai Is Offering A Free Dog Journey, All Expenses Paid

Airlines & Airports

One lucky dog and his or her owner will get a free journey on a private aircraft from Dubai to London.

Dubai will soon be home to a new private aircraft service dedicated to dogs and their owners. The first flight will take off on September 26, 2023, and tickets will cost $9,925 each.

K9 JETS recently announced the start of a contest that would provide two pet owners and their dogs with free seats on the journey.

To enter the free ticket giveaway, dog owners in Dubai must create a short video in which they introduce themselves and their dog. The video should explain why the owner thinks their pet should fly first class with them.

The ultimate pet-friendly jet service

At the moment, the jet transport is only offered between Dubai and London, but by 2024, it is expected to be extended to other parts of Asia, Australia, and the rest of the world. While this is the first time the company has offered service in Dubai, they do fly to other major hubs including Paris, New York, and Los Angeles.

The service's target market consists of vacationers and potential new Brit residents who want to bring their dogs along on their trip. Moving with pets may be a stressful and time-consuming ordeal for their owners.

Adam Golder, co-founder of K9 JETS, commented with the occasion:

“Relocation can be a difficult and logistical challenge for pet owners. With many expatriates living in the Emirate, it’s a process that most residents go through when they decide to leave.

“We are delighted to offer Dubai pet owners the opportunity to fly privately with their pets and assure them of personalised care, enhanced safety measures and amenities tailored to the unique needs of themselves and their pets.”

The flights will depart from Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai and land at Farnborough Airport in the United Kingdom.

Before boarding their private plane, passengers and their dogs may check in at the luxurious private terminal, which has a dedicated welcoming crew and a grassy space for pets to roam.

Over four million dogs and animals are carried annually across international borders, as reported by the International Pet and Transport Association (IPATA).
