Europ Assistance Italy and Costa Cruises Renew Partnership for Enhanced Travel Protection

Europ Assistance Italy and Costa Cruises have renewed their partnership, extending their collaboration for an additional three years. This renewal, the third since 2016, continues a robust relationship between the Generali Group's Care Company and the Italian cruise line, aiming to provide optimal peace of mind and assistance to travelers.

The enhanced insurance program, which starts from March 1, 2024, is available to travelers from Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland. It covers both Early Booking and Basic Multi-risk, including trip cancellation and medical expense reimbursement. New additions have been made to adapt to the evolving needs of customers, such as increased trip cancellation limits and a new digital solution for assistance requests during trips.

Erika Delmastro, Chief Travel Officer at Europ Assistance Italy, expressed enthusiasm about the continued cooperation: "Our ongoing innovation and adaptation to the changing needs of travelers have been key to maintaining and strengthening our partnership with Costa Cruises. We are excited to keep providing comprehensive insurance solutions that enhance the travel experience on Costa's ships."

Gianfranco Allocca, Vice President of Sales Excellence & Global Customer Centre Operations at Costa Cruises, also commented on the partnership: "At Costa, we place our guests at the center of everything we do, ensuring they can enjoy their holidays without worry. The renewed partnership with Europ Assistance, a leader in travel protection, supports our commitment to delivering superior holiday experiences across various countries."

This partnership renewal not only reinforces the commitment of both organizations to ensure traveler safety and satisfaction but also sets a benchmark for the cruising industry in terms of international service consistency and innovation in traveler protection.
