In January 2024, Aena's airports welcomed 18,667,212 passengers, marking a 10.3% increase over the same month in 2023. This rise reflects growing confidence among travelers and a resurgence in both international and domestic flights. The international passenger count stood at 12,144,917, a 13.2% increase, while domestic travel also showed a healthy growth of 5.3%, with 6,456,176 passengers.
The total aircraft movements reached 165,909, up by 6% from the previous year, indicating a higher frequency of flights and operational efficiency within the Aena network. Cargo transportation experienced a remarkable surge, with 91,752 tonnes of goods moved, showing a 23.1% increase from January 2023.
