Aimbridge EMEA Expands Extended Stay Portfolio with Residence Inn by Marriott in Manchester
Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA strengthens its presence in the extended stay market by taking over the operation of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Manchester, showcasing a growing portfolio and market confidence.
Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA, a division of the global hospitality management leader Aimbridge Hospitality, has been appointed as the new third-party operator for the Residence Inn by Marriott in Manchester. This addition to Aimbridge's portfolio underscores the company's growing emphasis on the extended stay hotel segment in the UK and Europe.
Owned by Park Hotels Holding (PHH) and asset-managed by Ciel Capital, the 155-room aparthotel, situated in Manchester's vibrant Northern Quarter, marks a significant stride for Aimbridge following its reopening last year after an extensive refurbishment. The property features a variety of studios and one-bedroom suites, each equipped with full kitchens, alongside amenities including lounge areas, a gym, laundry facilities, and a bar and restaurant with grab-and-go options.
David Anderson, divisional president at Aimbridge EMEA, expressed enthusiasm over the new addition, highlighting the expanding interest in extended stay accommodations as travelers increasingly seek quality lodgings for longer durations, blending business with leisure pursuits. Aimbridge's expertise in managing extended stay properties across different brands positions the company to drive success and offer memorable experiences for guests while generating superior returns for owners and investors.
The global extended stay hotel market, currently valued at an estimated $54.5 billion and expected to grow to over $116 billion by 2033, continues to show promise for Aimbridge. The company's portfolio already includes various extended stay properties across Europe, under brands like Accor’s Adagio, IHG’s Staybridge Suites, and additional Residence Inns in Ghent and Sarajevo.
The partnership between PHH, Ciel Capital, and Aimbridge is poised to elevate the Manchester property to new heights of success, with additional amenities like a high-end beauty bar and boutique coffee shop further enhancing the hotel's offerings.
Aimbridge EMEA, formerly known as Interstate Hotels & Resorts, has experienced significant growth over the past year, entering new markets and securing development deals across Europe. The company's entry into the Spanish market with the Grand Luxor Hotel & Village on the Costa Brava represents another milestone in Aimbridge's expansion, reflecting the strength of the UK and European markets and the company's optimistic outlook for the future.
