Air France Launches Direct Flights from Los Angeles to Nice for Cannes and Monaco Events

To celebrate its long-standing partnership with the Cannes Film Festival, Air France will operate special flights between Los Angeles and Nice in May 2025. These direct flights offer an ideal opportunity for passengers from the American West Coast to experience the French Riviera, including the renowned Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco F1 Grand Prix.

Flight Schedule Details

• May 12, 2025: Flight AF041 – Departs from Los Angeles at 13:15; Arrives in Nice at 9:40 (the following day)
• May 26, 2025: Flight AF040 – Departs from Nice at 13:55; Arrives in Los Angeles at 16:55 (the same day)

The Airbus A350 will be used for these special flights, featuring the latest travel cabins. In Business Class, the sliding door provides a private, enclosed space with a full-flat bed for optimal comfort. Premium passengers will enjoy the latest recliner-type seat with a 48 cm seat pan and a 121° recline. Economy Class passengers will experience ergonomic seats with 79 cm of legroom and a 119° recline. All cabins are equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi and high-definition individual touch screens, perfect for enjoying movies during the flight.

The Airbus A350 is a key part of Air France’s long-haul fleet, with a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to previous-generation aircraft. Additionally, the aircraft’s noise footprint has been reduced by 40%, further supporting the airline's environmental goals.

Special Flights for the Cannes Lions Festival

In addition to the flights for the Cannes Film Festival, Air France will operate four special flights between New York-JFK and Nice for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity from June 14 to 20, 2025. These flights will be operated by the Boeing 777-300ER.

• June 14 and 15, 2025: Flight AF043 – Departs New York JFK at 16:35; Arrives in Nice at 6:30 (the following day)
• June 19 and 20, 2025: Flight AF042 – Departs Nice at 11:55; Arrives in New York JFK at 14:40 (the same day)

Increased Summer Schedule to the United States

Air France is expanding its services to the United States in the summer of 2025, with a new direct route to Orlando from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. This will increase the airline’s U.S. destinations to 18 and its total North American destinations to 25. Notable cities include New York-JFK, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, and Vancouver.
