Airbus To Employ More Than 13,000 Workers This Year

News

Airbus intensifies its search for fresh talent in order to better prepare for the future of the aircraft industry.

Airbus plans to hire more than 13,000 workers throughout the world in 2023 so that it can support its commercial air-plane ramp-up and face challenges in the areas of defence, space, and helicopters.

Approximately 7,000 of these positions will be brand new to the organisation altogether. The new personnel will play a crucial role in supporting the industrial ramp-up and Airbus' optimistic outlook for decarbonization, as well as in preparing for the future of flying.

Thierry Baril, the company’s Chief HR & Workplace Officer, stated:

“In 2022 we welcomed more than 13,000 new employees within Team Airbus around the world, in a complex environment which tested our resilience and attractiveness as a global employer. Following the success of our recruitment last year, we will hire over 13,000 employees again in 2023. We call on talented individuals from all over the world to join us in our journey to make sustainable aerospace a reality and to help us build a better, more diverse and inclusive workplace for all our employees.”

All across the globe, the company is launching a new recruiting campaign that will place special focus on technical and manufacturing profiles as well as the development of expertise in areas such as cyberspace, digital technologies, and renewable energy sources to help realise the company's long-term goals.

Over 9,000 of these positions are going to be located in Europe, with the remaining positions spread throughout the worldwide network. Recent grads will make up one third of the total number of positions available for recruiting.

More than 130,000 people are employed throughout Airbus's many companies across the globe at the present time. The Top Employers Institute, a worldwide objective authority in recognising achievement in people leadership and human resource policy, has just certified Airbus as a Top Employer in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. This certification honours Airbus for its excellent people management and HR policies.
