Arrivo aims to develop 200 mph transportation network in Denver

The project targets not to use vacuum tubes, as its implementation is scheduled for 2021.
Founded by the same engineer participating in the implementation of SpaceX and Hyperloop One projects, Arrivo is a company which goal is to build a transportation system involving supersonic speeds with no vacuum tubes.
As announced by Brogan BamBrogan, the project will be developed with the joint efforts of Arrivo and Colorado’s Department of Transportation.
The concept involves a magnetized track system along the freeways, reaching 200 mph speeds, which could carry personal vehicles and cargo in what will be called the “super urban network.”
The difference between Elon Musk’s Hyperloop and Arrivo’s project is that the company aims to create a transportation network for shorter urban routes. For example, the trip from the Denver Airport to the city center, which normally takes 55 minutes, will be reduced to a 9 minutes travel.
Another advantage is the construction price, significantly lower than the one for the Hyperloop project.
“If I want to travel really fast between two cities in a low-pressure environment inside a metal tube, I would use an airplane. They’re very efficient, the ride is smooth, the orange juice is free,” commented BamBrogan.
If tests are successful, Arrivo plans to begin construction in 2019 and go fully operational in 2021. Moreover, Arrivo’s latest project will create more than 200 job opportunities by 2020 and add around $10 – 15 million to the city’s economy next year only.
