British Airways and Bangkok Airways Enhance Travel to Southeast Asia

UK travelers now have easier access to the jewels of Southeast Asia, thanks to an expanded codeshare partnership between British Airways and Bangkok Airways. This enhanced collaboration allows passengers to book seamless travel from the UK to various destinations in Thailand and Cambodia with just one ticket.

Starting October 28, 2024, British Airways will resume its direct flights from London Gatwick to Bangkok, operating three times per week. The frequency of these flights will increase to up to five times per week between January and March 2025, catering to the rising demand for travel to the Thai capital.

New Destinations in Thailand and Cambodia

Through the expanded codeshare agreement, British Airways customers can now connect seamlessly from Bangkok to five additional holiday hotspots across Thailand and Cambodia:

• Phuket (HKT), Thailand
• Koh Samui (USM), Thailand
• Chiang Mai (CNX), Thailand
• Phnom Penh (PNH), Cambodia
• Siem Reap (SAI), Cambodia

This partnership allows travelers to incorporate a stopover in Bangkok before continuing to their final destination, all on the same ticket.

Benefits for British Airways Executive Club Members

British Airways Executive Club Members stand to gain even more from this partnership. Members will collect Avios and earn Tier Points when flying on Bangkok Airways as part of a British Airways codeshare journey. Avios, the currency of the Executive Club, can be redeemed for Reward Flights, upgrades, hotel stays, car hire, and more. Tier Points contribute towards achieving higher membership status, unlocking benefits like lounge access and free seat selection.
