Disney Parks to celebrate pride month

The special additions are meant to be a part of Disney’s commitment to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

“This year, at all four Walt Disney World theme parks, look for all-new incredible, Pride-themed backdrops celebrating love. Each park photo wall is unique, themed to its surroundings, and honours the diversity and pride within the LGBTQIA+ community”, commented PRIDE FL-BERG Leadership Team and Manager Gina DeFano.

Special offerings of the Walt Disney World this month include Disney PhotoPass Service with Magic Shots, the new Disney Pride Collection featuring accessories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, and more.

Moreover, a special theme-based foods and beverages selection will be available to guests celebrating Pride at Disneyland Resorts.

“June is Pride Month, and we are joining in on the celebrations by featuring some incredible eats and sips that have been beautifully crafted by our talented chefs and mixologists. These teams have put their passions on the plates and in the cups by creating some truly unique treats for you to enjoy throughout the month”, declared Global Food & Beverage Digital Integration Specialist Nicole Cantore.

The Walt Disney Company will donate all Disney Pride Collection profits from the Pride month of June to organizations supporting LGBTQIA+ youth.

“No matter what our guests are celebrating, an iconic ear hat has been a Disney tradition since the very beginning [and] I’ve loved seeing guests of all ages get them embroidered to celebrate all kinds of milestones, from ‘First Visit’ to ‘Just Married.

“Beginning this month, we’re introducing new stitching colour options to Share Your Pride. These new personalization options will be available year-round and feature the colours of the pride and transgender flags. Personalization options will soon be available at Disney’s Wonderful World of Memories at Disney Springs and other locations throughout Walt Disney World”, DeFano concluded.
