easyJet Unveils 26 New Routes for Summer 2025, Including First Flights to Cape Verde

Airlines & Airports

easyJet has launched 26 new routes for the summer of 2025, including its first-ever flights to Cape Verde in Sub-Saharan Africa. This marks a major milestone for the airline as it continues to expand its network, providing more choices for travelers looking to explore new destinations. The new routes include 21 from ten UK airports, offering flights to a range of exciting European and African locations.

Cape Verde: easyJet's First Sub-Saharan Destination

In a significant expansion of its global reach, easyJet will begin flying to the island of Sal in Cape Verde from London Gatwick starting 31st March 2025. These flights will operate three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—throughout the summer season. Cape Verde, a tropical island destination off the coast of Africa, becomes easyJet's first-ever Sub-Saharan service.

Package Holidays to Cape Verde

In addition to flights, easyJet holidays is offering package deals to Cape Verde for the first time. These packages include flights, hotel accommodations, 23kg luggage, and transfers, all backed by easyJet's Ultimate Flexibility guarantee, which allows customers to change bookings or receive a refund. The holiday packages feature a variety of hotels, including 5* Melia resorts, catering to families, couples, and adults-only stays.

New European Routes and Expanding Network

easyJet is also expanding its European network, with a new service to Rimini, Italy, alongside Cape Verde. Other new routes from London Luton include Almeria, Spain, and Funchal, Madeira. The airline is also expanding its operations at Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds Bradford airports with new routes to destinations including Izmir, Kalamata, Larnaca, Madrid, and Rome.

New Flights for Scotland and Northern Ireland

Scotland will also see new options for the summer, with flights from Edinburgh to Enfidha, Tunisia, and Marrakech, Morocco, alongside flights to Olbia, Sardinia. Glasgow will have new routes to Antalya, Turkey, and Reus, Spain, while Belfast International Airport will also offer a new twice-weekly service to Reus.

A Growing Holiday Offering

With these new routes, easyJet holidays now offers more than 70 destinations, providing customers with a wide range of beach and city breaks. All holiday packages are available at unbeatable value, ensuring customers have access to affordable travel options across easyJet's extensive network.

A Strong Focus on Customer Choice and Value

Ali Gayward, easyJet UK Country Manager, commented on the new routes: "We’re proud to be releasing such an incredible range of new routes and package holidays, providing more choice for customers and making it easier to visit both familiar and exciting new destinations. This includes our milestone route to Cape Verde, our first-ever Sub-Saharan service."
