Helsinki Airport expands with the opening of Clarion Hotel and Comfort Hotel, adding to a total of 12 hotels in the area.

Helsinki Airport Welcomes Finland’s Largest Hotel Complex

HELSINKI – On June 1, 2024, Helsinki Airport will see the grand opening of Finland’s largest hotel complex. The hotel company Strawberry is introducing two new hotels, Clarion Hotel and Comfort Hotel Helsinki Airport, increasing the airport area’s total to 12 hotels. This expansion marks a significant enhancement in accommodation and meeting facilities for the airport.

New Hotels and Facilities

The new complex offers over 700 rooms, a rooftop restaurant and bar, and a spa with an outdoor hot tub. It also features an 825 sq m event space for over 1,000 participants and 21 meeting rooms, facilitating large international events near the airport.

Enhanced Airport Services

"Last autumn, Finavia completed the historic Helsinki Airport Development Programme, significantly improving the airport and its services," said Nora Immonen, Finavia's Director of Commercial Services Business for Helsinki Airport. The development of the "airport city" now offers flexible services meeting the needs of passengers, businesses, and local residents.

Convenient Access and Connectivity

With a direct indoor connection to the airport's arrivals hall, passengers can easily transition from flights to hotel rooms and vice versa. This connection also provides easy access to the terminal’s restaurants, cafés, and shops.

Additional Hotel Transformations

Strawberry’s GLO Hotel Airport will be rebranded as Comfort Hotel Xpress Helsinki Airport Terminal on June 5, 2024, and its interior will undergo a significant update.

Strategic Investment
