FlySafair to add 11 new regional routes
The airline revealed plans to operate new destinations in Southern Africa.
The announcement followed the Air Services Licensing Council of South Africa’s conference under the authority of the Department for Transport.
The low-cost carrier plans to add new flight services from Cape Town and Johannesburg to Gaborone, Livingstone, Luanda, Lusaka, Maputo, as well as Victoria Falls.
The company’s Chief Marketing Officer Kirby Gordon commented:
“We’ve been planning our expansion to more regional destinations for some time and are confident that we will continue to bring our same brand of hassle-free travel to passengers in these markets.
“While this is a big milestone, there is still a fair amount of work ahead of us from an operational perspective. By launching a host of new services, we hope to provide passengers with more options for air travel at a competitive price.”
Moreover, FlySafair aims to increase frequency for routes like Johannesburg to Bulawayo, Nairobi and Seychelles, Cape Town and Windhoek, as well as the island of Mauritius in the near future.
At the same time, at the beginning of the next year, the airline will add the fifth new aircraft to its fleet.
The moves are part of the carrier’s expansion strategy boosting both capacity and connectivity across key travel destinations in Southern Africa.
