ITB Berlin 2024 Will Have Oman As Its Honorary Host

According to an official press release, Oman will be the official host of the World's Leading Travel Trade Show 2024.

 

The announcement was recently made by the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in collaboration with ITB Berlin. In order to formalise the cooperation as soon as possible, the minister signed a statement of intent during a casual event at ITB Berlin 2023. After the moment, Messe Berlin's vice chairman, David Ruetz, signed the contract officially.

The Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman, His Excellency Salim Al Mahrouqi also declared:

”ITB Berlin is a potent platform for showcasing the variety of the many offerings that Oman can provide in the growing tourism industry.

“We are pleased that in 2024, the Sultanate of Oman will be the hosting country and we are committed to provide the event with an impressive and lasting experience covering all possible senses and expectations.”

“Oman has been strongly represented at ITB Berlin for many years and we are very impressed by the tourism attractions and diversity this travel destination has to offer.

“With the Sultanate, we are delighted to have secured such an attractive partner for next year’s show”, David Ruetz added with the occasion.

Oman will be responsible for coordinating a number of various activities, including the grand opening, which will take place on 4 March 2024 at the CityCube Berlin. The Sultanate has prepared a packed schedule for business travellers to enjoy during March 5th and 7th.

The Arabian Peninsula nation is well-known for its magnificent sights and rich history dating back more than five thousand years. Tourists looking for both leisure and adventure will get what they're looking for in this diverse natural wonderland. The Sultanate is home to more than just golden sand dunes and verdant oasis landscapes; it also has towering peaks, spectacular caverns, sandy shores, and countless cliffs. There are also plenty of opportunities for adventure tourism, including snorkelling, trekking, and climbing.
