Lufthansa City Airlines Announces First Flights for Summer 2024
Lufthansa City Airlines, the latest addition to the Lufthansa Group, confirms its initial destinations for summer 2024, with flights starting from Munich to various European cities.
Set to commence operations in summer 2024, the Lufthansa Group's newest member, Lufthansa City Airlines, has unveiled its first set of destinations. Starting from Munich, the airline will initially serve several German cities including Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Cologne, and Hanover, alongside international destinations such as Birmingham, Bordeaux, and Manchester. The expansion of the airline's network will continue over the subsequent months, adding more European cities to its roster.
The Lufthansa Group's commitment to the future of Lufthansa City Airlines is underscored by the acquisition of 40 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with an additional 20 options for purchase. This strategic investment aims to enhance the competitiveness of its short-haul network, supporting the Group's market position and facilitating the growth of Lufthansa's long-haul routes.
Travelers flying with Lufthansa City Airlines can look forward to the renowned Lufthansa service quality and customer experience, tailored for short to medium-haul journeys. The airline has already begun rebranding its fleet, with the first two of four Airbus A319 aircraft earmarked for this year's operations now featuring the new Lufthansa City livery.
Booking for these flights will be open from the end of April, accessible through Lufthansa Group's established sales channels, marking an exciting chapter for Lufthansa City Airlines as it prepares to connect Munich with key destinations across Europe.
