Manchester Airport Launches Direct Flights to Casablanca with Royal Air Maroc

Manchester Airport and Royal Air Maroc announce the return of direct flights to Casablanca, enhancing travel options to Morocco and beyond for the North's travelers.

Manchester Airport, in collaboration with Royal Air Maroc, is thrilled to announce the reintroduction of direct flights to Casablanca, Morocco, marking a significant enhancement to the travel options available from the UK's northern global gateway. This service resumes for the first time since the pandemic, offering a direct link to one of Morocco's most vibrant cities and a key gateway for further exploration of sub-Saharan Africa.

The route complements existing services to Marrakech and expands the Northern hub's offerings to over 200 destinations worldwide. Operating three times a week—on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday—the flights are scheduled to take approximately 3h 30m, utilizing the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Casablanca, known for its rich diversity, combines modern Moroccan culture with traditional elements, offering visitors a unique experience that includes art deco architecture, a mix of Moroccan and international culinary delights, extensive shopping opportunities, and scenic sea views.

Lucie Hinton, Head of Aviation Business Development at Manchester Airport, expressed excitement about connecting the North to the world through new and exciting routes like Casablanca. She highlighted the city's appeal as a modern destination with traditional Moroccan sights and a fantastic seafront that benefits from a cool breeze, making it an excellent base for further exploration of Morocco.
