Milan Bergamo Airport Achieves ‘Gold’ Certification as a Bike-Friendly Company

Milan Bergamo Airport and SACBO S.p.A. have achieved the prestigious ‘Gold’ certification as Bike Friendly Companies, awarded by the Italian Federation for the Environment and Cycling (FIAB). This recognition underscores the airport's ongoing commitment to promoting cycling as an eco-friendly and sustainable mode of transportation.

 

SACBO and the airport management company first earned the ‘Silver’ certification in 2021 and have now reached the highest level of recognition in the European “Cycle Friendly Employer” (CFE) program, a certification that promotes cycling in the workplace and aligns with European standards for sustainable mobility.

The ‘Gold’ certification ceremony took place at SACBO's headquarters and was attended by Dr. Giovanni Sanga, President of SACBO, Valeria Lorenzelli, Vice President of FIAB Italia, and Christophe Sanchez, CEO of Visit Bergamo.
