On the third consecutive day of security alerts, England's officials were forced to evacuate to safety the students of fourteen schools, due to bomb scares.

Students from Sandwell College and ACE Academy were evacuated and asked to go home. into the nearby Hawthorns stadium.

Robin Grover, head-teacher at ACE Academy declared about the incident:

"Academy site has been given the all clear by police. We will be open to students as normal tomorrow. All students have left the site safely.”

Similarly, Ormiston Forge Academy stated:

"We have received a bomb threat at the academy this morning. We have initiated our evacuation plan and have cleared the buildings. The sixth form has been dismissed for the day.

"Students and staff are safe at Hingleys. The evacuation has gone as planned.

"However, due to the cold weather we are going to dismiss students from Hingleys. We will call parents now and make arrangements. If you are unable to pick your child up we will stay with them at Hingleys in the warm building until you are able to collect them.”

Great Barr School was evacuated yesterday, as 10 more schools were targeted during the past week in Sandwell, Dudley and Birmingham.

Detective Inspector Colin Mattinson, from West Midlands Police, commented:

“At this stage there is nothing to suggest there is any credible threat to any of the schools.

“Our response officers have been sent to the locations to ensure there is no threat to anyone’s safety and support the schools.

“A police investigation is on-going to find the person responsible for these calls.”
