Radisson Hotel Group Will Use PowerGo Charging Systems

In support of Radisson Hotel Group's Green Mobility initiative, PowerGo has joined forces with the 1,150-plus-hotel network.
The goal is to install charging stations in about 300 European lodgings over the next few years.
Radisson Hotel Group, a worldwide leader in sustainability with a goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050, encourages its guests to choose eco-friendly modes of commuting. Therefore, providing charging options for EVs is consistent with the Group's Radisson Moves Green Mobility philosophy. Radisson Hotel Group seeks to be a leader in encouraging a green mobility approach by facilitating environmentally conscious lodging options, as more than seventy percent of customers report an interest in eco-friendly vacation solutions, and electric mobility is rapidly becoming a standard amenity for hotel guests.
The European Commission settled on a 2035 deadline for zero-emission requirements for all newly registered vehicles in Europe in October 2022. By 2025, customer demand for electric cars is projected to register a fourfold increase, making them the most popular technology of the next decade as the world works toward a zero-emissions goal by 2030. Through this collaboration, PowerGo and Radisson Hotel Group are helping to expand the European charging infrastructure.
Using the electric vehicle (EV) platform developed by partner Spirii, hotels in the Radisson Hotel Group have the possibility of investing in or collaborating with PowerGo as a Charge Point Operator (CPO), who administers and runs the charging stations. PowerGo Charge app users will have complete freedom in choosing their preferred charging and payment options.
Norway's pioneering charging infrastructure
PowerGo has initiated phase one of the partnership's implementation. Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo is now installing the first eight charging points, which will be available for usage by mid-July. Anyone staying at or visiting the hotel may make use of the charging stations.
PowerGo's mission is to make reliable charging options readily available to all owners of electric vehicles, by providing each hotel business with a financially sound strategy, as well as 100% sustainable energy. According to PowerGo's Chief Technology Officer, Ivo van Dam, this is a major differentiator between PowerGo's offerings and those of the company's rivals. To accommodate the demands of each individual hotel's charging infrastructure, the company analyses each site to decide if AC chargers, fast chargers, or a mix of both are optimal.
"We are extremely pleased to work with Radisson Hotel Group and look forward to the wider rollout of our partnership”, van Dam added.
