Seabourn Reveals Plan for Two New Luxury Cruise Vessels
Cruise News

Seabourn, the ultra-luxury small ship cruise line, has revealed the names of its two new ships that will continue its present fleet's tradition.
Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation will join Seabourn's fleet in late 2016 and spring 2018 respectively. The company has announced renderings and key updates on Seabourn Encore with a newly created microsite.
The microsite provides an inside look at Sebourn's new luxury ship and contains details and imagery of the ship's progress, including a countdown called "sunsets until launch".
Continuing on the cruise line's acclaimed Odyssey-class ships, Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation will continue along the lines of Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest.
The new award-winning class of ships transformed luxury cruising with innovative amenities and improved accommodations when they were launched between 2009 and 2011.
Seabourn will benefit from the most modern ultra-luxury fleet in the industry after the addition of the two new ships.
Seabourn president Richard Meadows said: "Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation will appreciate the current fleet in terms of guest experience and vessel design."
"Both new ships, Encore and Ovation, acknowledge the marvelous success and exceptional accomplishments our present fleet has achieved," he added.
Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation with feature modern design elements, an additional deck, newly expanded public areas and further innovations that establish Seabourn's reputation for understated elegance.
The new 40,350-GRT ships will carry 604 guests each, based on double occupancy, and a private veranda will feature for every suite.
Adam Tihany, an expert in hospitality design, has accepted to design both Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation from the ground up, using the line's rich history and yachting heritage an inspiration.
