Travel & Leisure’s “10 Best Resorts in Central America” unveiled

Luxurious hospitality amenities, natural beauty of the wildlife, pure adrenaline adventure – these are just a few of the Costa Rican tourist attractions, with many more to be discovered by worldwide tourists eager for an unforgettable holiday experience.

“As it did last year, Costa Rica leads the pack of winners for 2022’s best resorts in Central America with a whopping seven spots. It seems, for now, Costa Rica’s hospitality prowess remains unmatched by its neighbours”, stated the famous magazine.

The country in Central America was awarded the first three places in the recent ranking, after scoring readers’ opinion on available facilities, location, customer service, food, and destination overall value.

For the third year in a row, Nayara Tent Camp at Arenal Volcano National Park occupied the top place.

Travel & Leisure editors commented:

“This luxurious property recalls some of the best African safari lodges with its cliff-top canvas glamping tents and superior service. The massive tents boast romantic four-poster beds, large bathrooms with soaking tubs, and decks with private hot-spring-fed pools that overlook the Arenal Volcano”.

Hotel Belmar in Monteverde was awarded the second position of the top, while GM Pedro Belmar replied:

“International recognition of this calibre helps position the country, differentiating it from competing destinations. This benefits the country’s integral tourism recovery”.

Nayara Springs at Arenal Volcano scored third in the readers’ preferences. The other Costa Rican hot-spots in the top were Rio Celeste Hideaway, Nayara Gardens, Four Seasons Resorts and Hacienda Altagracia.
