UPDATE Flight MH370 - payments for the families
Airline News

The first cash payments for the families of passengers embarked on flight MH370 have been confirmed.
So far, one Chinese family along with six Malaysian ones have been granted the first compensations of $50,000. Another 40 families are expected to be granted their payment next, in the context of this horrific event.
The relatives are entitled to claim up to $175,000 per missing passenger.
The payments are being conducted by Malaysia Airlines insurer, a consortium led by Allianz Germany.
The missing flight MH370 has disappeared on March 8th while traveling to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur.
Thorough search has been conducted by corroborated effort from multiple countries but so far no conclusion has been reached, aside from the one that the plane has crashed somewhere into the Indian Ocean.
The current search operations for flight MH370 are focused on the ocean floor near Perth, Australia.
Questions still remain unanswered as no motif for the crash has been identified yet. Anxiety is also fueled by the awkward behavior of the aircraft after it altered its original course.
So far, naval, air, satellite and submarine searches have been conducted but no trace of the plane has been found.
Authorities expect that along with retrieving the black box, these troubling questions will find their proper responses.
