Vietnam Airlines Launches New Flights from Munich to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
Vietnam Airlines has made its debut at Munich Airport, launching flights to two popular destinations: Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The airline will operate these new routes twice a week, using the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring a comfortable three-class configuration that includes Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.
Flight Schedule and Increased Frequency
Flights to Hanoi are scheduled for Mondays and Saturdays, while Ho Chi Minh City will be served every Tuesday. Starting in December 2024, the airline plans to increase the frequency to two flights per week to Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesdays and Thursdays. With these additions, Munich Airport becomes the fourth European destination in the Vietnam Airlines network, joining Frankfurt, London Heathrow, and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Enhancing Economic and Cultural Ties
Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport, expressed enthusiasm for the new flights, stating, “We are delighted about the new flights by Vietnam Airlines from Munich Airport. The connections are a significant expansion of our Asia services and strengthen Munich Airport's position as one of the leading aviation hubs in Europe.” He emphasized that the direct flights will further enhance economic ties and cultural exchanges between Bavaria and Vietnam.
A Growing Destination for Travelers
Vietnam is increasingly becoming a favored holiday destination in Southeast Asia, ranking among the most visited countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Bavarian companies have invested significantly in Vietnam, fostering numerous partnerships in science and education.
