
Wizz Air Launches New Summer Route from Cluj-Napoca to Heraklion, Greece

Wizz Air has announced the launch of a new summer route from Cluj-Napoca to Heraklion, Greece, starting on June 17, 2025. The route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering affordable tickets starting at EUR 24.99. Tickets are available for purchase now through the airline's website and mobile app.
Heraklion, the vibrant capital of Crete, is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, including the ancient Knossos Palace—an archaeological gem that offers insight into the Minoan civilization. Visitors can also explore the lively markets, Venetian fortress, and museums in the city. Outside of Heraklion, Crete’s rugged mountains, pristine beaches, and stunning landscapes make it a paradise for nature lovers. The island’s famous cuisine, including dishes like moussaka, dakos, and local cheeses, offers an authentic taste of Crete.

This new route will replace the existing Cluj-Napoca to Chania connection, offering travelers convenient access to the capital and the rest of Crete. With this addition, Wizz Air now offers 37 destinations in 14 countries from Cluj-Napoca, enhancing travel options for passengers and contributing to regional economic growth.
