Wizz Air To Offer Two New Direct Flights

By launching two new flights out of London Gatwick Airport, Wizz Air is expanding its presence in the United Kingdom.
Due to popular demand, two additional routes, to the Czech city of Prague and the Egyptian city of Hurghada, will begin service on October 31.
The service launch will allow more tourists to visit the historic centre of the Czech Republic than ever before. Known as "the City of a Hundred Spires" because of its many towering cathedrals, Prague is also renowned for its vibrant nightlife and ancient astronomical clock. London Gatwick Airport will serve as the departure point for six weekly flights, with rates beginning at £21.99.
Meanwhile, Hurghada provides sun-seekers with the opportunity to attempt scuba diving and unwind on the city's expansive sandy beach or perusing the souks and cafes typical of Egypt. Three flights each week depart from London Gatwick for as little as £48.99.
“We are seeing increased demand for more flights to popular holiday destinations and we are delighted to be able to offer greater, more flexible access to these breathtaking cities.
“With these two additional routes from Gatwick, we are now providing more seats than ever for passengers to travel to and from London at an affordable price. We can’t wait to see these flights take off in October”, stated Marion Geoffroy, Managing Director of Wizz Air UK.
The news bodes well for the ultra-low-cost airline's expanding operations in the United Kingdom. Wizz Air currently serves 116 destinations in 30 countries from London thanks to the addition of these flights. The additional routes will increase yearly seat capacity to and from the UK capital by more than 220,000.
Wizz Air is already selling tickets via their website and mobile app.
