Qantas Unveils Groundbreaking SME Booking Innovation with Spotnana Integration

Business Travel

Qantas has launched a cutting-edge digital travel platform for SMEs, utilizing Spotnana's capabilities.

After a successful trial in August, this comprehensive booking tool is set to be extended to over 480,000 members enrolled in the airline's SME loyalty initiative, known as Qantas Business Rewards.

This all-encompassing reservation tool encompasses flights, accommodations, and car rentals. It also provides immediate access to live data and analytics, along with the ability to automatically enforce corporate travel policies on bookings. These features are in addition to the existing perks such as flight discounts and earning points on travel expenses through the loyalty program.

A novel 'Manage Trip' functionality empowers clients to make individual reservations for flights, hotels, or car rentals, or combine and oversee them seamlessly as a unified trip.

CEO of Qantas Loyalty, Olivia Wirth, highlighted that the platform's launch was prompted by direct feedback from businesses, addressing the challenges and expenses associated with managing travel needs. Wirth emphasized the substantial investment in Qantas Business Rewards, offering Australian businesses a centralized platform to streamline their business travel requirements while maximizing their rewards.

“The investment we’re making in Qantas Business Rewards will provide Australian businesses with a one-stop platform to manage their business travel needs and make the most of their rewards.”

Wirth stated:

“One in five Australian small and medium-sized businesses are Qantas Business Rewards members and this new booking experience adds to the benefits they already enjoy, including flight discounts and earning Qantas Points on travel and everyday business expenses.”

In a blog post, Spotnana expressed its close collaboration with Qantas, outlining its involvement in embedding infrastructure, testing new features, and executing an extensive white label project for the carrier. The travel tech platform also disclosed enhancements to its technology stack, catering to Qantas's needs. These include a tailored user experience, the ability to manage the Qantas Business Rewards account, and a customized points payment process during checkout.

Spotnana anticipates further collaboration with Qantas, emphasizing a continuous rollout of enhancements and a comprehensive roadmap of features. The travel tech platform also emphasized that the new tool significantly reduces the average booking time from over 10 minutes to under two minutes.

In celebration of the launch, Qantas announced the waiver of the AU$89.50 joining fee for its Business Rewards program until December 8, 2023.
