Qatar Airways Resumes Flights to UAE and Syria
Qatar Airways is reconnecting Doha with key Middle East destinations, announcing the resumption of daily services to the United Arab Emirates and Syria following a period of suspended operations.
Flights to Dubai (DXB) and Sharjah (SHJ) resumed on April 23, 2026, with daily services now back in operation. Damascus (DAM) follows shortly after, with daily flights from Doha set to begin on May 1, 2026.
The reinstatement is part of a broader, phased effort to restore Qatar Airways' global network. The airline had already signalled its intentions in mid-April, announcing an expanded flight schedule from June 16, 2026, that will cover more than 150 destinations across six continents.
For passengers who already hold bookings, Qatar Airways has put flexible options in place. Travellers with confirmed reservations for the period between February 28 and September 15, 2026 can make complimentary date changes to any new travel date up to October 31, 2026, subject to availability. Those whose flights are directly affected by schedule changes retain the right to additional fee-free rebooking until the same date. Full refunds of unused ticket value are also available, though processing may take up to 28 working days.
The airline is advising all passengers to monitor its website and app for schedule updates and to ensure their contact details are current.
