Emerald Azzura, the company’s first super-yacht, will operate delightful seven-night itineraries starting Doha, with stops in ports of Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi; Khasab, Oman; Fujairah, UAE; Zighy Bay, Oman, Dubai and returns.
Guests choosing this Qatar Tourism and Emerald Cruises partnership for their holidays can also purchase a tailored three-day package to explore Qatar, with short trips to the main cultural sites included. Tourists can visit the National Museum of Qatar, Souq Waqif marketplace in Doha or the Inland Sea, just to name a few.
“In line with the national strategy, Qatar National Vision 2030, we are expanding our tourism value proposition and are excited to welcome travellers from around the world to experience the best of Qatari hospitality both on sea and land.
“The new itineraries launching with Emerald Cruises are another step towards achieving this vision,” commented Berthold Trenkel, Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Tourism.
In response, Rob Voss, COO at Scenic Group, added:
“We are delighted to be taking our new super-yacht, Emerald Azzurra to Qatar’s vibrant city of Doha next winter.
“In partnership with Qatar Tourism our guests will experience first-hand and in luxury yachting style the immersive beauty and hospitality The Gulf region and specifically Qatar has to offer. It will be magical.”
Emerald Azzurra, with its 110 meters length, can welcome 100 guests in 50 impressive deluxe rooms with balconies. Featuring a Sky Bar, an observation deck, a cosy lounge, extensive wellness areas, a pool and marina platforms, the ship is more than prepared to offer its visitors unforgettable cruising experiences and deluxe travel services.
Emerald Azzurra state of the art super-yacht, the 10th vessel in the company’s fleet, will sail on its maiden voyage in March 2022, as the line’s second super-yacht named Emerald Sakara is set to join operations in early 2023.
Qatar aims to grow its cruise sector, with cruise season running from October to April. A new Grand Cruise Terminal will soon be launched in central Doha, offering enhanced capacity and new touristic attractions.
Qatar will also be the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup event, scheduled for November.
