
Radisson Hotel Group Expands in Iberia with New Hotels in Spain and Portugal

Radisson Hotel Group continues its strategic expansion in Iberia, with exciting new openings and planned investments across Spain and Portugal. Among the notable developments are the Radisson RED Malaga and the Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife, as well as the upcoming Radisson RED Porto Gaia in Vila Nova de Gaia and a major refurbishment of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lisbon. These properties will add to the Group’s growing portfolio in the region, enhancing its presence in both urban and leisure destinations.
Expanding in Spain: Radisson RED Malaga
Radisson RED will make its debut in Malaga with the opening of the Radisson RED Malaga in Q2 2027. Located in one of Spain’s most vibrant leisure destinations, the 102-room hotel will offer a bold, design-driven experience. Guests will enjoy a rooftop bar and swimming pool with panoramic views of Malaga’s historic cityscape. With multifunctional meeting spaces and a fitness area, the hotel will serve both business and leisure travelers.

Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife will open in Q4 2025 following a comprehensive renovation. Perched on a prime hilltop, the resort will offer breathtaking panoramic views and easy access to key attractions like Loro Parque and Teide National Park. With 242 units, including hotel rooms and apartments, the resort will feature two restaurants, a pool bar, and a 500 m² ballroom for conferences and events. This marks the first Radisson-branded resort on the island, enhancing Tenerife's appeal to international travelers.

In early 2027, Radisson RED Porto Gaia will open its doors in Vila Nova de Gaia, located just a short distance from Porto and offering guests easy access to key attractions, including the Dom Luís I Bridge and the historic city center. The hotel will feature 250 rooms and vibrant social spaces, including a rooftop bar with views of the Douro River. This will be the debut of the Radisson RED brand in Portugal, offering a dynamic lifestyle experience for visitors.
Continued Investment in Lisbon
In addition to new properties, Radisson Hotel Group is making a significant investment in the refurbishment of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lisbon, set to elevate the property’s offerings and enhance the Group’s presence in the Portuguese capital.
