Royal Caribbean – new partnership with authorities in Barbados
The current deal unlocks more recruiting options for cruise ships staff, including various entertainment positions.
Michael Bayley, RCI president and CEO, declared about the latest partnership:
“In the Caribbean, we have long-standing relationships for a long time. I think this is one the most formalized agreements we are putting into place.
“It’s a testimony too, not only of the relationship we have for a long time, but surely also a recognition to what happened over the past couple of years.
“We can improve the business that comes to the local communities and artisans, not only enhancing the costumer experience but also enhancing it to the local people, who will have a better opportunity to generate revenue.”
Moreover, Bayle thanked the country’s authorities for the constant support offered during the Covid-19 pandemic and highlighted the company’s goal of strengthening the commercial relationships with Barbados by promoting local products and services.
Senator Lisa Cummins, Minister of Tourism and International Transport for Barbados, stated in response:
“We are really excited about the strategic partnership that we are forging with Royal Caribbean.
“This is the strategic partnership that allows us to be able to break down those silos and to work together in the interest of the destination Barbados”.
With Bridgetown as a new home-port in Barbados and the Rhapsody of the Seas the new cruise ship serving the breathtaking itinerary, Royal Caribbean International is set to offer its guests for the 2022-2023 season voyage packages of 7- and 14-night trips to exotic places such as Tobago, Bonaire, Martinique, St. Lucia and Colombia.
