The City in Britain with the Highest Pet-Friendly Staycation Ranking Unveiled
Airbnb's management company analyzed the number of listings that allow guests to bring their pets.
GuestReady revealed that 59.8% of Airbnb listings allow guests to bring their pets along.
Out of 102 listings, 61 were pet-friendly. The city is famous for its castle and the cathedral.
The beautiful dog walking location of Count the Stones is also located in the same county.
Hereford came in second place, with 49 percent of the bookings indicating that they are pet-friendly.
Lancaster and Chichester ranked third and fourth in the list of pet-friendly vacation destinations.
Clougha Pike is a lovely moorland that is only five miles away from Lancaster City Centre. However, four-legged pets are not allowed on the access land.
London, which receives 30 million visitors a year, is the least pet-friendly location in the United Kingdom.
Only 11,1 per cent of the properties analysed in the capital allow visitors to bring pets.
Guest Ready spokesperson said: "For many people, pets are like family, so leaving them in kennels or with strangers when going on holiday doesn't feel like a viable option."
"Therefore, it is particularly useful to know which cities are the most accommodating of pets, ahead of planning your trip.
"The findings reveal that larger cities such as London, Birmingham and Liverpool offer some of the fewest options for those looking to bring their furry friends away with them.
"This is perhaps due to some Airbnb hosts seeing pets in their property as a cleaning expense they would rather avoid, especially if demand for accommodation is high in their city and they don't need to compete as much with other listings."
Sterling Insurance has identified some other places that are ideal for Britons who want to take their dog on vacation.
According to the list, the Brecon Beacons and Cornwall were the top three places on the list.
Dorset, Forest of Dean, and Norfolk were all in the rear.
