The World-Famous Cirque du Soleil and Air Canada Have Renewed Their Long-standing Collaboration
Air Canada and Cirque du Soleil® have renewed their agreement until December 2024, with the carrier being the official airline for Big Top and Arena performances of the troupe.
When it comes to international travel and entertainment, two Quebec institutions stand head and shoulders above the rest: Air Canada and Cirque du Soleil.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Cirque du Soleil as we share the same values and importance of celebrating Canadian innovation and creativity with people at home and world-wide”, commented Lucie Guillemette, Executive VP and Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada.
“We are thrilled to team up with a world-renowned brand such as Air Canada as our official airline for our touring shows. With our shared values and Canadian roots, we will continue to entertain the world to make it better for all, through the power of creativity and meaningful experiences,” replied Nickole Tara, Chief Growth Officer at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group.
Since the beginning of 2020, Air Canada has become the official airline transporting Cirque du Soleil's crew and performers to various performance locations around the globe. Through this renewed agreement, Air Canada can continue to be a flying, worldwide advocate for Canadian and international artists. Several of Cirque du Soleil's 2023 tours will stop in cities serviced by Air Canada, including Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles, Denver, and London.
More than 125 million people have seen a Big Top or Arena performance by Cirque du Soleil since 1984, proving that the company's extraordinary creations have a long cultural life and universal appeal. As part of the multi-year arrangement, Cirque du Soleil will feature the partner's brand in marketing campaigns, provide promotional opportunities during shows, and provide a comprehensive hospitality program in all of the company's markets.
