News

The Business Insider online publication has conducted a research in order to find out which are the top European destinations with the best food according to the number of restaurants owning Michelin stars, but also related to the area of the towns.

The publication concluded that when planning their holidays and do not know what destination to choose, tourist think about the famous routes on historical places, but also take into account the gourmet experiences they can enjoy in that destination.

Also they found out that when thinking of food in Europe, the first places that come into the tourists’ mind are Italy and France, given the traditions of these countries. However, the ranking according to the number of restaurants with Michelin stars is a good starting point to find the best European cities in terms of gastronomy, as this guarantees a perfect dining experience.

British cuisine has undergone a revolution in the '80s and early' 90s. The English capital has about 65 restaurants with Michelin stars, owned by top chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Jason Atherton.

Florence, Italy- Florence is famous for "bistecca alla fiorentina" (a steak weighing about 1.2 kg), which is the city's symbol. The city is also famous for its street food: the "lampredotto" sandwich made with one of the four parts of the cow's stomach. Food is poor, but very tasty, served with green salsa.
