Relocate To Beautiful Sicily - How To Submit An Application

News

Petralia Soprana is widely regarded as one of Italy's most picturesque communities.

The largest Italian island, Sicily, is the epitome of the "dolce vita," with its gorgeous beaches and delicious cuisine. And currently, yet another quaint village is making the long-held ambition of settling there a realistic prospect, as Petralia Soprana is vying for new residents by giving monetary rewards.

The town council envisions the plan reviving abandoned homes and boosting the town's decreasing demographic. The municipality now offers up to €5,000 to newcomers. The plan's goal is to stop Petralia Soprana's population decline, which has been going on for decades. Today, 2,992 people call this place home, but there are more than 50 empty homes in town.

Petralia Soprana is often considered to be among Italy's most picturesque towns. But you'll need to act fast if you intend to move there.

Those who make the decision to make the town their permanent home are eligible for the financial assistance. New residents of Petralia Soprana can receive monetary incentives of up to €5,000.

To be considered for the grant, applicants must acquire and renovate a home inside the city limits.

However, applications must be submitted by May 10, 2023 or they will be considered late. Inquirers should make direct contact with the local authority.

Petralia Soprana is one of Italy's most picturesque settlements because of its lofty elevation on a ridge. From the twisting lanes between the medieval stone houses, you can see all across to the misty valley below and the smoke-covered peak of Mount Etna. Close by in Palermo are some truly breathtaking buildings in the Arab-Norman style, which have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Except for the occasional religious and cultural celebrations, such as feast days and carnivals, residents of Petralia Soprana can enjoy relative quiet.

Historians believe that Petralia Soprana is the modern-day successor to the ancient city of Petra, which was established in the Madonie Mountains by the Sicani population.
