Andaz Doha Debuts as Hyatt's First Lifestyle Brand Hotel in Qatar

Hotels & Resorts

Hyatt Hotels Corporation proudly announces the opening of Andaz Doha, the brand’s first lifestyle hotel in Qatar and the third Andaz property in the Middle East. Located in the prestigious West Bay area, the hotel offers an ideal base for guests to explore the city’s cultural attractions, including the Souq Waqif, Katara Cultural Centre, and City Center Doha Mall, all within a short distance from the hotel.

A Unique Design Celebrating Qatari Culture

Designed by Brime Robbins, Andaz Doha reflects the city’s authenticity through its design elements. Guests will encounter Qatari-inspired touches like Sadu weaving patterns, traditional “Katara pigeon towers”, and custom wooden doorways with handles shaped like Arab walking sticks. The design incorporates a color palette of gold, rose gold, and bronze, evoking the region’s wealth and contributions to art. The lobby features an ‘Airlock’ entrance, with a sea of kaleidoscopic lights referencing Doha’s multi-faceted landscape.

Luxurious Guestrooms and Residences

The hotel offers 256 guestrooms including 32 suites and 4 Royal Suites, as well as 56 residences for long-term stays. Rooms feature local stone, eco-friendly amenities, and Al Sadu-patterned cushions, creating a luxurious yet authentic setting. Residences range from one to three bedrooms and offer spacious living areas, walk-in wardrobes, and access to hotel amenities like the gym, pool, and spa.

Culinary Offerings with Global Influences

Andaz Doha introduces three distinct dining concepts, with The Salt Road Doha already open. This restaurant explores the historical significance of salt, one of the world’s oldest ingredients. Coming soon, Mr. & Mrs. Hawker will bring Singaporean-style street food to Doha, while Mumble Jungle offers vibrant cocktails and mocktails inspired by Afro-Cuban flavors.

Wellness and Fitness Amenities

The hotel’s Alara Spa offers a variety of wellness rituals, incorporating traditional Hammam bathing customs alongside modern treatments. Guests can also enjoy a fully-equipped 24-hour fitness center and a newly designed outdoor pool with a poolside bar for refreshments.

Event and Social Spaces

Andaz Doha features 1,600 square meters of meeting and event spaces, including a grand 750-square-meter ballroom. The hotel also offers four unique studio spaces, each representing aspects of Qatari heritage, such as calligraphy, weaving, and architecture. The Navigator Studio celebrates traditional fishing techniques, completing the hotel’s cultural offering.

A New Chapter in Hyatt’s Lifestyle Brand Expansion

Jafar Abu Baji, General Manager of Andaz Doha, shared:
“We are thrilled to debut the Andaz brand in Doha, paying homage to the rich culture and heritage of Qatar. With our innovative designs, exceptional service, and lifestyle-driven approach, Andaz Doha sets a new standard for luxury hospitality in the city.”

The opening of Andaz Doha reinforces Hyatt’s commitment to expanding its lifestyle brand portfolio, joining other global destinations like London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Tokyo.
