Ao Dai Festival 2023 Welcomes International Tourists

The 9th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival was officially launched by the Department of Tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union at Nguyen Hue Walking Street.

Visitors can enjoy 21 exceptional collections by famous designers, with more than 500 Ao Dai models.

The Festival will be graced this year by the presence of renowned beauty queens like Miss H'Hen Nie (Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 & Top 5 Miss Universe 2018), Miss Annabelle Mae McDonnell (First Runner up of Miss Charm 2023), and Nguyen Huynh K Duyen (Runnerup in Miss Supranational 222). They are joined by music icons Kyo Yo, Soobin and Nguyen Phi Huung, as well as other notable artists.

This festival showcases Ao Dai collections from renowned designers like Si Hoang and Do Trinh Hoai Nam.

Ao Dai's annual festival is a month-long celebration of Vietnam's rich culture, traditional costumes and a variety of fun activities in the city. International visitors are welcome to the festival and explore the city. Festival organizers took all precautions to ensure safety, including following COVID-19 guidelines.

The festival's highlight is the parade of Ao Dai design masterpieces that will take place on March 5, 2023 along a pedestrian path from Nguyen Hue, Le Loi, Dong Khoi, and other tourist attractions. Visitors can also enjoy two unique experience spaces. The exhibition space at President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, Nguyen Hue Street, showcases Ao Di in Vietnamese family traditions, Ao DAI Festival over the years, as well as intangible cultural forms from Vietnam. Visitors can also take photos, witness traditional art performances and engage in interactive activities at the Ao Dai Art Path in Lam Son Park.

An interactive online application has introduced a new way for people to explore the beauty of Ao Dai culture. It features characters from Ao Dai walking through Ho Chi Minh City's most famous tourist attractions. You can participate in the fun and discover the city's traditional beauty, whether you are a local or visitor from overseas. It's a refreshing way to get to know the Ao Dai culture.
