News

With the opening of the Baccarat Hotel & Residences Dubai in 2026, SH Hotels & Resorts aims to establish a new benchmark for opulence and sophistication.

Studio Libeskind, a prominent architecture company, was commissioned to create the property's twin tapering towers, which would house both a 5-star hotel and several full-service, branded apartments. The sparkling glass exteriors of the buildings, call to mind the exquisite brightness of the House of Baccarat, whose name has been connected for over two centuries with everlasting art works acquired by royalty.

SH Hotels & Resorts Chairman Barry Sternlicht explained for the media:

“We are thrilled to be partners in the development of this extraordinary hotel and residences in one of the top travel destinations in the world.

“The Baccarat brand celebrates the quality of light and where is the sun more spectacular than in the Middle East. Our artisans will work to create a spectacular property to take its place among the most revered in the world. We are excited for this project’s gleaming future.”

The project will be led by Robert Koren, the newly appointed SVP and Area Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at SH Hotels & Resorts, from his office in London. According to Raul Leal, CEO of SH Hotels & Resorts, the inauguration of the first property in Dubai represents an important new milestone in the growth of the Baccarat brand, as the company is forging a new path aiming for the hotel to represent the pinnacle of luxury in Dubai.

The hotel also offers a variety of dining options, including an elegant main restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, many private dining rooms, a relaxed poolside bar, and a Grand Salon that serves breakfast delicacies, afternoon tea, and a champagne and wine programme in the evenings.
