Boeing Dreamliner to be introduced to Geneva route by Qatar Airways
Doha to Geneva route will be served by the airline's second Dreamliner aircraft starting July 1st 2016
Starting this summer, the 132 seats Airbus A320 will be replaced by the ultimate Boeing 787 Dreamliner, as a result of the air-carrier's efforts to increase route passenger and cargo capacity.
“Qatar Airways is delighted that the high level of demand for travel to Geneva from our worldwide network warrants a higher-capacity aircraft equipped with our award-winning on board premium product, which will be introduced on the route. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner represents one of the most modern aircraft in the skies and we look forward to welcoming passengers on board,” Akbar Al Baker, chief executive at Qatar Airways declared.
The Boeing B787 Dreamliner combines the latest engineering technology with most luxurious interior design and entertainment features. Dimmable windows, LED lights, lower cabin pressure, controlled air quality and humidity are just a few of the upgrades Boeing B787 Dreamliner brings to the Doha-Geneva route.
Periodically aiming to improve passengers flying comfort, Qatar Airways was the first company to bring the Dreamliner to the market in Switzerland, by introducing the first aircraft of its kind in January 2013. The airplane is currently serving Doha to Zürich route.
