Disney World's Vintage Train Ride Has Returned
Following an Absence of Four Years, the Walt Disney World Resort has revealed that the park's original antique steam locomotives, some of which date back 100 years, are set to operate again.
In 2018, the track surrounding Tomorrowland had to be taken down to make room for the new Tron Lightcycle Power Run ride, which resulted in the closure of the Walt Disney World Railroad. The TRON-themed roller-coaster will now be located beneath the railway track. During those four years, the theme park remodelled the Walter E. Disney engine, repainted two railway stops, and replaced the track throughout the park.
Walt Disney World Railroad guests can now look forward to hearing a brand-new voice that will carry on the long heritage of warm greetings and entertaining tales while adding fresh commentary and narrative to the experience. The new conductor is "humble, charming, and knowledgable," according to Disney officials, and he is eager to assist passengers of these classic steam trains get to their destinations throughout the park he loves so deeply.
“While our conductor points you to the familiar sights on your left and right, we embrace what makes Magic Kingdom a place unlike any other, where you can escape into completely new worlds and celebrate with characters you love,” the official statement quotes.
As part of a strategy to put park-specific tariffs on one-day, one-park tickets, Disney World revealed price increases earlier this month, while customers may choose their visit date and park of choice in advance using the Disney Park Pass system.
Owing to unprecedented popularity, the Magic Kingdom Park will now cost as much as, if not more than, any other theme park in the area. Admission tickets to Magic Kingdom will cost between $124 and $189.
