Emirates Restores 96% of Global Network After Disruption
Emirates is declaring a near-full return to operations, with 96 percent of its global network now restored following weeks of significant disruption. The airline currently serves 137 destinations across 72 countries, operating over 1,300 weekly frequencies — representing 75 percent of its pre-disruption seat capacity, with more flights and options being added daily.
Despite operating on a reduced schedule throughout the disruption period, Emirates still carried 4.7 million passengers between March 1 and April 30, underscoring the enduring demand for travel through Dubai and the confidence passengers continued to place in the airline during an uncertain period.
The recovery spans all major regions of the airline's network, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East and GCC, the Far East, and Australasia.
To give passengers more confidence in booking, Emirates has put several flexible travel measures in place. Customers booked from April 2 receive one free date change across all cabin classes, and fares can be held for 24 hours at no charge. For those transiting through Dubai for between six and 26 hours, the Dubai Connect programme offers complimentary hotel accommodation at a four or five-star property, transfers, meals, and visa support where needed — available to passengers in all cabins.
On the loyalty side, Emirates Skywards members can fast-track their way to premium tier status between May 8 and August 31, with reduced tier requirements and bonus tier miles on both Emirates and flydubai flights.
Onboard, the Emirates experience remains anchored by its ice entertainment system with over 6,500 channels, multi-course regionally inspired menus, and connectivity via Starlink, now live across 28 aircraft in the fleet.
