Emirates welcomes the first ‘Pelé-ane’ to its family

In the context of FIFA World Cup 2013 in Brazil, Emirates has teamed up with its global ambassador and multiple World Cup winner, Pelé for the first personalized 777-300ER.

This aircraft in particular will be used for transporting football fans on the Dubai to Sao Paolo route.

The personalized airplane will be visible from the ground while in flight due to the particular design themed for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Along with these splendid graphics, the airplane also features a signature from one of the greatest players who ever lived.

Emirates is preparing two more Pelé-anes, Boeing 777 which will be presented on the first day of the competition, as well as an Airbus A380 who will follow shortly after.

About 115 Boeing aircrafts will be personalized with the 2014 FIFA World Cup logo.

Other FIFA 2014 World Cup paraphernalia can be encountered at any of the destinations provided by Emirates. Among these, they may find:

  1. Airport: check-in desks will now feature replays from some of the greatest games in which Pele and Cristiano Ronaldo have played, as well as the AllTimeGreats commercial promoted by Emirates.

  2. Live TV for the games on 16 Emirates airplanes fron 12th June to 13th July, featuring all 64 matches.

  3. Ice TV Live will also feature a special section for FIFA 2014 livescores for the flights who do not benefit from live footage.

  4. Kids will also love the Emirates collectables with the FIFA 2014 trademarks. These include snack boxes with cardboard cut-outs and wrist bands for their favorite teams.


Emirates expects that more than 18,000 people will be traveling towards Rio De Janeiro and São Paolo for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
