For Halloween And Beyond, Universal Is Creating A Terrifying Attraction
Universal is currently developing a haunted attraction that will be open 365 days a year to its visitors.
Las Vegas has given a new moniker to the genre of horror. Here's everything we know about Universal's city-building ambitions thus far.
Las Vegas is quickly becoming the new hub for the horror genre. At the beginning of this year, Universal revealed their intention to create a haunted attraction in the city that is known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World."
This past Tuesday, Universal Destinations & Experiences announced that the name of the attraction would be "Universal Horror Unleashed."
Since Universal's Halloween Horror Nights has become an annual tradition at its theme parks, this attraction will be the first permanent horror adventure park that the company has built outside of its theme establishments.
Page Thompson, president of New Ventures for Universal Destinations & Experiences, stated that Universal Horror Unleashed is another way the group is utilizing its distinctive style of horror narrative to connect with fans of this genre. "We look forward to bringing frightful fun to Las Vegas year-round”, he added.
The interactive entertainment venue will serve as the main attraction of a recently enlarged section of the AREA15 entertainment zone in the city. And although the venue will remain the same, customers can anticipate regularly updated horror experiences, themed meals, seasonal events, and "one-of-a-kind products."
