Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced today plans to build a new hotel and private residences in Jacksonville, Florida. The company is the leading luxury hospitality provider worldwide.

Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences Jacksonville is expected to open in 2026. It will play a vital role in the development and growth of the Jacksonville Shipyards, while also bringing a new exciting and historic chapter to Downtown Jacksonville.

Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences Jacksonville, which combines imaginative urban design along the St. Johns River will be the center of the Jacksonville Shipyards. It is located next to the Sports Complex, and the proposed Stadium of the Future, a renovated EverBank Stadium, that will house the Jacksonville Jaguars and host national and international sporting and entertainment events.

"Four Seasons is incredibly proud to bring our renowned service and hospitality offering to one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States," mentions Bart Carnahan, Executive Vice President, Global Business Development and Portfolio Management, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. "As Jacksonville continues to enhance its offerings for people to live, work and play, we look forward to working with Mr. Khan to expand our presence in Florida and extend our long-time partnership together, contributing to the city's bright future and achieving our shared vision of building communities and creating exceptional luxury experiences."

Four Seasons Private Residences and Hotel Jacksonville joins an impressive collection of properties currently located in Florida, including Orlando, Palm Beach and Surfside as well as Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. A new resort is also planned for Naples.

This will be Khan's second Four Seasons hotel. He is the owner of Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League. In September 2016, Khan acquired full ownership of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. The property is regarded as a flagship for the Toronto-based Four Seasons and widely hailed as one of premier destinations in luxury hotel segment around the world. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts manages the property located in Yorkville, a fashionable neighbourhood.

Jacksonville Shipyards Development

The Jacksonville Shipyards Phase One will include a Six-Storey Office Building, a redesigned full-service Marina, a revitalized Metropolitan Park, an updated marina services building, and a public Park.

The project will include ample park space, walking paths and a riverwalk that will stretch from Downtown Jacksonville to Metropolitan Park. The Jacksonville Jaguars business staff will be moving into the adjacent offices.

The Jacksonville Shipyards Phase Two will include a property of five acres (two hectares) that is slated for mixed use development. The initial plans include a component for medical care, which will contribute to the thriving medical sector in the region. Retail, residential, parking, and green space are also possible uses. Khan has focused his efforts in the last few years on making this dream a reality. He wants to create hundreds more jobs, increase tourism revenue, and attract residents.

"I have immense love and respect for Jacksonville and Four Seasons alike," Khan mentions. "So, for me, it's always been about connecting the two, because they have so much to offer each other."

"Four Seasons is an iconic brand that will redefine Downtown Jacksonville and provide a luxury destination that we have been unable to offer until now. Jacksonville, in turn, will offer the new Four Seasons Hotel a spectacular setting on the banks of the St. Johns River and provide our entire community a reason to rally around the Shipyards, the Stadium of the Future and the overall future of Downtown Jacksonville. I've said all along that Four Seasons will be a game-changer for Jacksonville, and the change begins now."
