In 2023, Helsinki Airport witnessed a substantial passenger flow, with 15.3 million travelers, of which approximately a quarter were business travellers. This underscores the airport's pivotal role in catering to the specific needs of the business community. The airport’s executive director at Finavia, Ulla Serlenius, emphasized the relentless efforts to enhance the customer experience, noting the particular appreciation from business travellers for the efficient check-in, security processes, and the professionalism of the staff.

The airport's comprehensive renovation, part of Finavia’s Helsinki Airport Development Programme, has significantly contributed to its high ranking. The overhaul included upgrades to the departures and arrivals halls, parking facilities, terminal services, and more, reflecting positively in passenger satisfaction surveys over recent years.
