Historically high demand for business travel staff
According to the agency headquartered in the UK, August was the busiest recruitment month in the last decade, while vacancies and number of candidates dropped to one of the lowest levels in 2022.
“While August saw a dip in business travel placements compared to the previous month, demand for such candidates remains at historically high levels, with August 2022 seeing 159 per cent more candidates being placed in business travel roles than in August 2019,” C&M managing director Barbara Kolosinska commented.
GEnerally, August is known to be “one of the slowest months”, yet specialists expect a “significant bounce back in activity” in the near future despite general increasing concerns about both UK and global economies.
C&M’s latest recruitment report comes after Business Travel Association chair Suzanne Horner’s conference statement summed up that “staffing has been and will continue to be a massive struggle” for the travel industry, which was seriously hit by the recent Covid-19 pandemic restrictions and consecutive lack of employees.
